Formula E; The Worlds Cleanest Race
As Formula E speeds into its 8th year, hosted this time at the London Excel Centre this July, we want to celebrate all things fast, furious, and electric.
In 2011 the idea of an all-electric street race was just a brainchild conceived in a bar between FIA President Jean Todt and Spanish businessman, Formula E Chairman Alejandro Agag. 11 years later, we see a globally celebrated, fully sustainable phenomenon taking over the way we see modern day motorsport.
The mission for Formula E has always been to prove that sustainable mobility, while providing a roster full of the best racing drivers around the world in some of the most iconic cities on the planet, is possible. And they have done just that. The championship currently sits as the first and only motorsport series to hold a certification for fully sustainable events. It is also the first global sport to have a net zero carbon footprint, and genuinely cares to invest in climate-protecting projects.
Whilst successfully executing these sustainable events, the popularity of the sport has gained traction on a global scale. In 2021 the final race drew in 316 million viewers to watch the nail biting final lap to see who would be crowned champion. In its short life span, this sport has achieved amazing prominence as the highly anticipated sustainable race of tomorrow.
Electric vehicles are being driven in one of the world’s most highly anticipated races for a better, cleaner future, and its coming to London Excel July 30th & 31st.
Join us at Fox Excel and Fox Connaught over the race weekend for some pre and post-race fuel. And if you missed out on a qualifying position for tickets to be there, Fox Connaught will be showing the races live!
