When your birthday's nearly here, you’re feeling stressed and the group chat suggests 'should we just do dinner?'. This is when you need to think of the Fox Excel. There’s nothing wrong with dinner but you probably want something that feels like a celebration, just without the drama of having to think about what to do and then organising it.

Our guide to planning the perfect birthday party in the Docklands

Our fantastic team, headed up by Jen and Joel, loves a party! With five very different spaces inside the Fox, they will help you to find the perfect place for your celebration. Give us a call at 020 7473 2288 and let’s chat about:

1. Your vibe. Are you looking for an intimate dinner, big DJ night, or themed party?  

We can do it all at the Fox with our integrated AV system, awesome basement bar with its own entrance, special mezzanine level and some seriously brilliant mixologists for those all-important cocktails. We’ve even got beer and pizza if that’s more your vibe. Seriously, we can do it all!

2. Book early - due to our popularity, you’re likely to need to book at least 8 weeks before your big day to get the area you want, secure the live music or DJ and so on. Procrastination is a party killer BUT… if it’s less than 8 weeks, give us a call anyway. We can work magic on many occasions!

3. Who’s on the (guest) list? Write down who's coming and we’ll help you plan where they'll sit, what they’ll eat, and how the space will flow. The devil's in the detail (and in the seating plan!).

4. Food & drink. We’ll share our range of menus and help you to pre-select food and drinks packages in advance. Nobody wants to spend their birthday arguing over the specials board and anyway, it’s your day so you get to choose!

5. Set the atmosphere: cocktails? Themed dinner? Seasonal twist? This is what people remember. We’ll share lots of ideas and you tell us which ones you like, and which ones you don’t! We can help you decorate your space and plan your menu so it’s like one seamless night out.
